What We Do
HCL Investment Services helps clients to manage their assets and plan their finances for the future. We work closely with you to provide an investment solution that meets your needs; there’s no ‘one size fits all’ service and we provide more than just advice. Whether you’re looking to make new or streamline existing investments, prepare for retirement or plan for inheritance tax – or a combination of all three – we can help ensure your money works hard for you.
From assessing your current situation, setting objectives and planning for the future through to recommending investment solutions and helping to monitor and manage your portfolio to keep it on track – it’s all part of our Asset Management Service. You can simply sit back and relax with the knowledge that your money is working hard for you and that you have instant access to all your financial information.
Whether you’re investing new money or reviewing your existing portfolio, HCL will work with you to help ensure that your investments meet - and where possible exceed - your expectations. Our six step process will allow us to gauge your attitude to risk and help you establish long-term goals, considering your income and capital gains tax position as part of the equation, enabling us to recommend which investment solution we feel best fits your needs.
We will then monitor your investments to ensure that they remain consistent with your attitude to risk.
The value of investments and income from them can go down as well as up and investors may get back less than the amount invested.
Planning for retirement is an essential part of life and, done properly, can enable you to reap the full benefits of your life’s work during your golden years. HCL will:
Careful forward planning can help to minimise the pitfalls of inheritance tax for your loved ones.
Please note: The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate taxation and trust advice.
The HCL Asset Management Service aims to help you look after your long-term financial health on an ongoing basis, providing peace of mind for the future. We take a scientific approach to Asset Management – our six step process covers comprehensive research, proposal of solution and ongoing management of your portfolio:
1. Initial Meeting read more
This is an opportunity for us to find out about you and for you to find out more about us. We want to know about your aspirations, goals and resources and we want you to know what services we offer and to decide whether we can help you to add value to your life and your financial affairs.
2. Fact Finding read more
If you decide to retain the services of HCL, the next step will be a fact finding meeting in which we will gather comprehensive information about you, your lifestyle choices and your short and long-term personal and financial objectives.
To enable us to work our best for you, we need to ascertain your attitude to investment risk and obtain a clear picture of where you are now - and where you want to be. By the end of this stage we will be able to provide you with an individual quote for helping to manage your portfolio, based on your individual needs and wishes.
3. Preparation read more
Based on the information we have obtained from you during our meetings, we will develop an initial financial strategy aimed at achieving your stated short and long-term goals. This will include:
4. Presentation read more
Once we have prepared your initial financial strategy a meeting will be arranged where we will present and discuss it with you; agreeing any refinements and a timetable for implementation.
5. Implementation read more
Once agreed and finalised your personal financial strategy will be implemented to the agreed timetable. This includes re-organisation of all the paperwork relating to your financial affairs which you may have gathered over the years.
6. On-going Review read more
Possibly the most important part of our Asset Management Service is our ongoing review process. Too often people are given financial advice, invest their money and that’s where the service ends. We want to work with you long-term, and help to ensure that your money is still working as hard for you as it could be one, two or more years down the line.
We will monitor your personal financial strategy continuously, providing regular feedback and working with you to refine your strategy as required, depending upon your personal circumstances. The review process includes:
How much will it cost?
The initial meeting is without cost. Our fees for initial and ongoing advice will be discussed at the initial meeting and agreed with you before any costs are incurred.
